Meet Jules Ford
Guiding you with compassion, clarity, and evidence-based care.
Jules Ford – Counsellor
As a Whakatāne counsellor, my role is to offer compassionate, evidence-based support that honours the whole person — mind, body, and emotions. I believe people heal best when they feel genuinely seen, heard, and valued. My approach is grounded in warmth, safety, and collaboration, creating a space where you can explore your experiences with openness and confidence.

About Jules
My counselling style is gentle, relational, and client-led. I work from a holistic perspective, drawing on therapeutic practices that support both emotional insight and nervous system regulation. I am a certified IFNT therapist and a registered counsellor with NZCCA, committed to offering care that is ethical, respectful, and grounded in best practice.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, faith questions, identity, or life transitions, you’ll be met with empathy and genuine care. If it’s something you want, I’m able to bring a Christian, faith-based perspective into our work. That’s optional, as I welcome people from all backgrounds, beliefs, and worldviews.
My role is to walk alongside you as you explore your story, strengthen your inner resources, and move toward greater clarity and wellbeing.
I value creating a therapeutic relationship built on trust and presence. Sessions provide a calm, confidential space to reflect, process, and grow at your own pace. My work blends insight-focused approaches with practical tools, helping support emotional regulation, self-understanding, and resilience.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals through a wide range of personal challenges. Each person’s journey is unique — and I’m committed to providing support that honours your individuality and lived experience.
"Everyone’s story deserves to be met with dignity and compassion. My approach adapts to each person, creating a space where authentic healing and meaningful change can unfold."
