Counsellor whakatane

Jules Ford – Counsellor

As a Whakatāne counsellor, my role is to offer compassionate, evidence-based support that honours the whole person — mind, body, and emotions. I believe people heal best when they feel genuinely seen, heard, and valued. My approach is grounded in warmth, safety, and collaboration, creating a space where you can explore your experiences with openness and confidence.

About Jules

As the daughter of an immigrant, I value and understand the richness of cultural diversity. Like most people, I have experienced seasons of ease as well as seasons of challenge. Through these experiences, I have drawn on the same healing practices that I now share with my clients, which allows me to bring both professional knowledge and lived experience to my work.

Outside of my work, I’m the proud mother of three young adult children, who bring me so much joy. I love being outdoors at the beach or on a bushwalk, experimenting with painting, and making time for pilates and the occasional game of tennis. And of course a good series is always great to unwind!

I’m committed to staying up to date with the latest research so I can offer clients effective, evidence-based therapies. It’s a privilege to be part of their journey.

"Everyone’s story deserves to be met with dignity and compassion. My approach adapts to each person, creating a space where authentic healing and meaningful change can unfold."
